Let the editing process begin!

So, it has been months since we last talked lovely blog. I am officially a college graduate. Today is my birthday, and I am supposed to be packing, but I made a decision this morning, that I will finish packing the nickknacks and that is all I am going to do. A girl only turns 27 once right. For me I think it is a little bit more like 27 going on 22. Besides the ever encroaching gray hair in my bangs, I feel young and alive. I feel this need to enjoy my days, even when there is work to be done, just breathing in and realizing that today is a blessed day, because...well it is today. Sorry, i am not my usual thoughtful, go hug a farmer self, but I just going to take this one day to reflect on things....
Happy B-Day to me!

Last few weeks

So it has been a few weeks since the last time I was up here, quick recap: It is now the 6th week of my 10 week quarter. Simply to state, I am surrounded my a sea of deadlines that will all shortly be at the will of my pen/keyboard. Stories, projects, photos, and thoughts to get on to paper and screen before it is too late. I am surviving as best as I can.

Now onto business. Thursday, I will be going to Tulare to the World Ag Expo, to work at the I Love Farmers booth. After working at the booth, my mission is quite simple. Distribute as many copies of my resume as possible. I will be damned if I am not employeed after I graduate from Cal Poly in 4 months! I am truely looking forward to meeting representives of many of the leading companies in agriculture. I am also looking forward to possibly seeing my friend Ian; he works with the farm bureau, and it would be great to say howdy after almost a year of limited facebook communications. Only bummer: i have to wake up at 3:00 to meet up with my carpool (Abby and Jackie) so that we can arrive around 8:3o am in Tulare. WOOT!!

Tomorrow will be the day that I spend finalizing stories and contining to work on my senior project. Expected time of delivery on the Senior Project is March 1st. I think it is a very lofty and obtainable goal. Almost done with the data Analysis for Chapter 4. Recommendations will be written shortly there after.

For now, my best plan is to get more than 3 hrs of sleep tonight. Good night all.

It has been way to long....

It has been way to long since I have been up here, speaking my mind. I figure that there is no point in pursuing a career in Ag Communications if you are not willing to communicate. So here goes another shot at social media.

Update since the last time we talked: Working on completing my bacholor's degree. Hopefully one more quarter after my current quarter. Living in Grover Beach, not the best neighborhood, but maybe not the worst. SEan and I have been married now for 1 and 1/2 years, but it feels like yesterday.

Hopes and dreams: Working for an ag company in the greater quatcounty area (Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Santa Clara), and assisting in the education of the public about agriculture. Someday children, I think Sean would be a great father. Getting Sean an education, opening a winery with my parents and siblings. Finally, getting over the fact that here in California we have a readily available supply of good, clean, and wholesome food, that is realitively inexpensive.

that is all for now. Let's see if I can get up here at least once a week.
